Chapter 9, Verse 32, Repentance
سورة التوبة
يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطۡفِـُٔواْ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ وَيَأۡبَى ٱللَّهُ إِلَّآ أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُۥ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
They (the disbelievers, the Jews and the Christians) want to extinguish Allah's light (with which Muhammad ﷺ has been sent - Islamic Monotheism) with their mouths, but Allah will not allow except that His light should be perfected even though the Kafirun (disbelievers) hate (it).
Chapter 22, Verse 8, The Pilgrimage
سورة الحج
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِي ٱللَّهِ بِغَيۡرِ عِلۡمٖ وَلَا هُدٗى وَلَا كِتَٰبٖ مُّنِيرٖ
And among men is he who disputes about Allah, without knowledge or guidance, or a Book giving light (from Allah),
Chapter 24, Verse 35, The Light
سورة النور
۞ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ مَثَلُ نُورِهِۦ كَمِشۡكَوٰةٖ فِيهَا مِصۡبَاحٌۖ ٱلۡمِصۡبَاحُ فِي زُجَاجَةٍۖ ٱلزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوۡكَبٞ دُرِّيّٞ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٖ مُّبَٰرَكَةٖ زَيۡتُونَةٖ لَّا شَرۡقِيَّةٖ وَلَا غَرۡبِيَّةٖ يَكَادُ زَيۡتُهَا يُضِيٓءُ وَلَوۡ لَمۡ تَمۡسَسۡهُ نَارٞۚ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٖۚ يَهۡدِي ٱللَّهُ لِنُورِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَيَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡأَمۡثَٰلَ لِلنَّاسِۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمٞ
Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His light is as (if there were) a niche and within it a lamp, the lamp is in glass, the glass as it were a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the east (i.e. neither it gets sun-rays only in the morning) nor of the west (i.e. nor it gets sun-rays only in the afternoon, but it is exposed to the sun all day long), whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself), though no fire touched it. light upon light! Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah sets forth parables for mankind, and Allah is All-Knower of everything.
Chapter 35, Verse 20, Originator
سورة فاطر
وَلَا ٱلظُّلُمَٰتُ وَلَا ٱلنُّورُ
Nor are (alike) the darkness (disbelief) and the light (Belief in Islamic Monotheism).
Chapter 61, Verse 8, The Ranks
سورة الصف
يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطۡفِـُٔواْ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ وَٱللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
They intend to put out the light of Allah (i.e. the religion of Islam, this Quran, and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) with their mouths. But Allah will complete His light even though the disbelievers hate (it).
Chapter 71, Verse 16, Nooh
سورة نوح
وَجَعَلَ ٱلۡقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورٗا وَجَعَلَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ سِرَاجٗا
And has made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp?
Chapter 76, Verse 11, The man
سورة الإنسان
فَوَقَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمِ وَلَقَّىٰهُمۡ نَضۡرَةٗ وَسُرُورٗا
So Allah saved them from the evil of that Day, and gave them Nadratan (a light of beauty) and joy.
Chapter 81, Verse 1, The Overthrowing
سورة التكوير
إِذَا ٱلشَّمۡسُ كُوِّرَتۡ
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown).
Chapter 101, Verse 8, The Calamity
سورة القارعة
وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
But as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be light,
Chapter 79, Verse 29, Those who drag forth
سورة النازعات
وَأَغۡطَشَ لَيۡلَهَا وَأَخۡرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا
Its night He covers with darkness, and its forenoon He brings out (with light).
